Hello!
Im looking for thise universal IC from the ebay. Has anyone mouted it on their Polo tdi? The price is relatively low and i've heard that it's even better than the original one. The only problem is the pipes because i ave no idea how much work is needed to "drive" it to the motor...any help will be apriciated

At your`s, i would rather look after the original parts from Volkswagen.

The mmain problem are the pipes because i've never seen a polo (9n) with Uni. IC with "naked" pipes

If you dont bother pricing, you should take a look at the FMIC from Seat Ibiza Cupra.
The cooler itself is seen on the last picture posted upwards.
It bolts on almost plug and play if you use the IC piping from Seat.
On the portal page of this Forum you will find a complete parts list and pictures of the complete IC conversion under the link 'Anleitungen' .
You should although prepare to spend about 800 Euro for all parts needed.


If you want to do this you must take case of your boost/IAT sensor. The piping from Seat comes incl. the 3bar Map Sensor which you must swap to your stock 2.5bar Sensor, otherwise you will hang around with some bad boost issues.

im familiar with the price of Cupra IC but im not willing to pay 800€+ because my purpose is that i moved side IC to the center..that why im looking for someone who instaled Uni.IC to see how he ran the pipes ...

Ok, i got the idea now what you mean.

But dont you think the depth of SMIC is to much to mount it like a FMIC? To be honest i have never really thought about doing that but i could imagine that you could have a little 'space' problem depending mounting depth...
Because of piping you may take a look at Deus Violenta's '2.0 TDI im Polo' Thread. He has used IC from Mercedes with selfmade custom pipings...

Btw: you can purchase a 'piping only' Kit for FMIC conversions from Forge...i just dont know the pricing of it right now...

I need to correct you majesty It´s not from a Sprinter like you may think, we never leave the family It´s from T5, all TDI´s use the same one fully made of aluminium, no plastics, very nice!

you'r thinking about piping kits that are universal?it's no good for me unless they would be made specialy for 9n but if not its cheaper to buy alu pipes myself and than shape them...

Yes gigas, there Is a tailor made piping kit for polo 9n available.

Sorry @deus, i got you mixed up with a friend of mine who Is driving a g60 with sprinter IC.

I just did a search on forgemotorsports.com.

It seams as they have deleted their IC Piping kit from their catalogue.

Piping Kit is made for 1.9TDI and 1.8T engines in Seat Ibiza but will fit in Polo also!

Here is the Link, its the tuningshop of a friend of mine ( So i guess i get better pricing), he is registred here under the username "troublemaker" afaik, but havent seen him online for long time.

thanks for searching it...could you ask him if he can give any discout because the whole material+ IC of Cupra cost 780€ and that is quite the same as this (pipes+Ic(uni))
