Hello,

My radiator cooling fan turns on alot, some of my friends told me if I change the thermostat it will fix the problem; what could be the problems and how can I fix it, I really don't want to spend money on buying a new fan....I know that the fan is working fine so the motor is OK I just don't think the temperature reader is getting correct ratings???? any help would be appreciated also if there is anything I need to replace.

Thanks

My radiator cooling fan turns on alot,
the water temperature is over 90° during normal driving (no traffic jam)? - may be the radiator is dirty or blocked

Or if the temperature is normal an the cooling fan is ON anyway, may be the thermo-switch located in the radiator has a mailfunction
this switch looks like this
