I tried to remove the original gearknob because I bought a new one and I just can't take the original off...do you have any experience with the gearknob removal...or any pictures of the procedure...tnx, nizde!

force doesn't work unfortunatelly...I should probably go to the VW car shop and ask them...tnx

It's just pressed on, so raw force should work. Most of the after-market-knobs have a screw to fix them, but not the stock-part.

I think you just pull it hard. Or ask if you're not sure at VW just to make sure ;-)

How did you do it? Only by pulling?

no!far from just pulling!first I removed(cut out 8) ) the leather and then with the screw driver I've loossen the metal part that presses the plastic part of the gearknob!after that you just pull the knob and that's it!!If I did it, than everyone can!!believe me!

sorry didn't took the pictures, but it shouldn't be the problem with the removal! If any of you has planned the same thing you can ask if you bump onto any problem!I'll take the picture of the new knob..the leather is still tailoring!bye, nizde
