Where to get this grill + costs?

Beitragvon decat » 13. Jan 2006, 00:37

Hello

i'm a new member, 25 years old living in belgium.
Drove a Golf IV (ABT kit) 81KW from 2000 till June 2005.

Since the 17h of august 2005 I'm the happy owner of a Polo 9N3 96KW 8)

I've been looking out on the net for a nice grill for several months now.

The only thing I could find was the ABT grill but it still has to VW logo in the front (not that I'm ashamed of driving a VW :D ) It's just nicer and cleaner without the logo!

Browsing through the gallery of this site I found the following pic

Bild

Now my question is, where can I find/order this same grill?
And what is the cost of it?

thanks in advance for your info

ps: if there would be any other nice sites/online shop where I can find some nice bodyparts for the 9n3 please share them with me! 8)

Hello.
This picture is a fake made by a user of our community.
In fact it is the ABT grill but he "erased" the logo. In other words, such a grill isn't available yet.

Hey mate,

I´m sorry, but my last informations are that there isn´t something like your wishes for the frontgrill to order at the moment. For the 9N1 you can order it, but for the 9N3 you still have to wait and take a look at it ... Have a look at ebay, I think this is one of the fastest markets to get some of these frontgrills.

Take care in driving this really nice engine,....I know that :biggrins:

Try to put in a HOPA Box or something similar, you don´t want to drive without it in the future....that´s real fun

I'm taking a lot care for it 8)
don't want to modify the engine, going to keep it as it is because I do a lot of driving -> +- 40.000km/year

the only thing I want is a nice grill, and I want it bad

Looks great - I'd love to have this one, too.
We'll have to wait...

40.000km/year? Thats an awful lot 8O
How come?

my golf which has been sold in june 2005 had 210.000 km after 5 years

I like to drive, sometimes when I'm bored I just hop in and drive around in the nearby villages :D and smoke some joints ofcourse :high:

130 km per day - thats indeed a long distance to go.

Of course... äh - You smoke the joints while you're driving around?
I wonder how you manage to know where you have been
Next day: Ups - where the hell are these km from? ;)

210.000 after 5 years? Wow... Mostly autobahn?

I know every small street in the neighbourhood, lot's of shortcut's too :D
dunno why, just like to cruise from time to time, some kind of freedom, still live at home, can't afford an house or appartement yet

the 130km a day are 65 to go to brussels and 65 to drive back home, could take the train though, but it's so damn boring :| and takes half an hour extra to get in brussels and half an hour extra to come back home

It's mostly autobahn yes

Just cruising and feeling free stays something like freedom - even or especially if you can afford your own appartement ;)
The odd problem with the public transport  Everywhere the same...
I always take the publics. I just have round about 15km one way.

By car you can do it within 20 minutes (of course not in the rush hour :D ).
But it's becoming quiet difficult to get a parking space (not the space - but to find a place where you're officially allowed to park in and don't have to pay a fortune for it ;) )
And I'm not willing and able to pay at least 10€/day just for parking in a car park 8O (Frankfurt is very expensive).
Publics are cheap - in opposite to drive by yourself.
And so it take me about an hour one way to get to work.

Time goes by very quick by reading - I love to read books during the trip.
Without a book a late arrival is hardly to bear.
So I can always loose myself in reading - my personal freedom ;) - instead of cruising and spending so much money to joints or petrol

Do you have plans for moving out? Are you on apprenticeship?

What else have you planned - exept from waiting for the grill ;) - for your car?

I don't live in a big city myself, it got max 14000 people orso
we can walk from north to south in lets say 25 minutes :d

i've been aware of that parkingproblem too, with my previous car which was lowered I couldn't enter the underground parking at work so I had to put it outside the building, sometimes I had to drive like an extra 10 to 15 minutes in order to find free spot, it had to be payed too, but I never did this, only got one fine of 12.5 euro in three years :smoking: :D

no plans to move out yet, still single...
paying a car, insurrance and rent + going out etc would be too much
once the car has been payed (2.5 year to go :heul: ) it would be possible to move out but don't know if this will be done, must 'try' to save some money first....

no further plans for the car, well to be honest I would like to change alot :D but spending lot's of money on a car doesn't give me a good feeling anymore, 17" tyres etc aren't cheap, certainly not when you do 40.000km in a year, combined with a not so light foot :(
I'm happy if the car brings me to where I have to go, the grill would be the only thing, just to change the front a bit
Loving cars very much but I need to win the lottery orso if I want to please myself (gti, shelby gt500 orso, maybe an impreza, R32) *ringer goes and wakes up from dream* :|

do wanna buy a quad sometime, soon...
One of my friends bought one not so long ago, damn nice to drive with, those things have mean power!

been in frankfurt once, was quite nice
some party at the waldschwimbad orso, cocoon organised it, party hardy :hippie:

well still 7h to go and my shift if over so the weekend can begin
post is getting long now, going to work a bit

btw: what is apprenticeship??

A quad? Nice idea ;)
There shouldn't be any parking problems with this "toy" ;)

yeah - partys by cocoon (Sven Väth) are always garuanteed for good music and loads of stylish people. :D
The is this newly opend club (newly...sometime 2 years ago  ) http://www.cocoonclub.net/main/index.jsp - pretty cool :super:

btw. apprenticeship = other word for training or education... ;)
...but you're talking about shift?

no parkingproblems, very true, but it ain't a toy to park where you want as it's rather stolen quickly, just lift it in a van and you're off, already heard this happen several times, some people have no respect :|

I know about the cocoonclub, haven't been there yet and don't think it will ever happen due to hearing problems, went out too much I guess

here are the pics one of my friends made when we where at green & blue in 2003

http://users.skynet.be/fa498077/zeon/co ... /index.htm

two weeks later we took off to ibiza, cocoon closing + afterparty :ugly:
unhealthy party that was.... :D

pics from ibiza

his main page, not up to date anymore though

http://users.skynet.be/zeon/

some pics from fuse and other venues in belgium to be found there

ain't stuying anymore orso, already employeed for 5 years now, this at an alertcenter (Touring), something like your ADAC in germany, have to help belgian people out with breakdowns across europe + we have to help adac people and other foreigners out when they have breakdowns in belgium
quite fun and variating, stressy in the summer though :-?

Hearing problems? :oh:
You're a hardcore party-animal

Nice pics! Obertshausen - it's funny - its just 5 km from where I live.
Ibiza is way cool - but extreme expensive

Do you like your job?

Typical :D

Fab: Just go to a local club - surely you'll find some girls (aged from at least 30 till ...) who have written F*** ** all over their forehead ^^ :D

I'm pretty sure you'll have a very good assortment :D (depending on what kind of club, of course  )
