Grüße aus den Niederlanden,

Hallo Polo-Fahrer, ich bin Sjors (22 jahre) alias Polomaniac und ich bin aus den Niederlanden (nicht weit von und in die route nach "Zeeland", so zögern Sie nicht vorbei, wenn Sie im Urlaub sind! )

Mein Deutsch ist so gut wie der Spruche "Ich bin ein Berliner" darum sall ich hauptsächlich in Englisch schreiben.

So i'm Sjors, 22 years old and soon graduating for Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering.
At this moment we have a polo 6n and 9n3 in the family (9n3 is my mom's). Within a few months my 6n will be traded for a 9n3 (looking for one as we speak) as I prefer it over the upcoming 6R.

I own my 6n for 4 years now and I am still kind off the first user, it was my mom's previous car

I like to work with small elektronics in my spare time so I started changing every lighted interieur part from factory-green to blue:




So for the next few years I'll be around, asking questions

nice ride u got there! like that clean style (you don´t see this very often in the dutch tuning scene, know what i mean?),
just keep your upcoming 9N3 that way and it´ll kick ass :mosh:
Been on vacation in Zoutelande last year, really loved it btw...must be your direction, aye?

Thanks man! the clean style community is bigger than you think My ride is nothing compared to the average on a (well organised) meeting here in holland or belgium. But I tried
The 9n3 will most likly stay stock until the warrenty expires :S But i've already got plans for some 'highline' additions

Ik vind het niet zo netjes veel in NL te praten hier dus doe het even in engels:

I'm doing my bachelor at Avans Hogeschool in Breda (really bad institution for mechanical studies) Next year I'll be starting my Transportation Engineering and Logistics Master at TUDelft (2yr master, 1 addition 'switch' year for me because of my Universtity of Applied Science degree (HBO dus )) So still going strong for another 3 years.

Why? Are you studying on one these universities?

so, there was a nice package waiting for me this afternoon when i came home:

a (mechanics)seat cover... so i don't have to worry about any dirt or grease on my close when i drive back from work.


and (ordered yesterday at h 17:00) (1k0 035 507 L, €15,- incl.)



I couldn't help myself to immediatly get started on removing the original antenna. It a pretty nasty job if you don't want to take the lining completely down. There is litte room left between the lining and the roof for a wrench or a pipe wrench (sw 22!!!).

so this is the situation now


At this point i'v managed to remove the original antenna but then: the fucking 'radio wire connection cord' can not be removed from the original (to mount it in the new antenna) all the screwheads are filled with glue

i guess i just have to wait till monday to order that connection wire and then mount the whole thing back... in the mean time i'm not able to use the polo :hmpf:

You probably bought a dummy (at least the price says so ), so it has no funktion.. The best thing to do is just put your original antenna between the lining and the roof..
