Polo 1.9TDi Sportline, 6 speed, PD130 NEW PICS PG2!!

Ungelesener Beitragvon Shaheenem » 17. Mai 2010, 11:30

Hey guys

Noob on the forum...

Here's a small right up with pics of my car (Polo 9n3 2006, 1.9Tdi Sportline, 130PS, 6 Speed)...

This is what it looked like when i first got her in November 2009

Then i decided that i wanted the Polo Gti headlights but didnt want to fork out R4000 for them so i decided to do some DIY in the form of the "Joey Mod"

Came out great IMHO plus i saved myself R4000

First pic is the lense with the chrome backing.

Bild

Second pic is of the headlight backing.

Bild

Third pic is of the chrome backing that unscrews from the lense with 3 screws.

Bild

Forth pic is of the chrome backing that i sanded down and sprayed. Sorry for the poor quality pic. Camera didnt focus.

Bild

Fifth pic. A comparison of the normal headlight with the one I sprayed.

Then i finally installed them...

Bild

Bild

Then got around to doing a De-cat...

Fitted a Golf 5 Gti Steering Wheel

Bild

Bild

After that i fitted the Dash Cubby, 17" Detroit Reps, Pgti pedals, 6000K Xenon HID kit, PD160 Intake, Fins on the fender, Cupra Lip.

Here are some better pics of the dash cubby. (Part number: 6Q0857465C1QB - R957 + VAT from VWSA)

Then i added some fins on the fender from the Polo Gti front & Rear. Dont know if anyone else noticed this on the PGti's.

Time for some updates...

Got them fitted...

And cut out the holes for the SMIC

Fitted my Eiback Springs... Thanks DotDubb

Then i finally took off the GTI badge on the grill and added my home made TDI badge (Cost R30) and made the the red strip on the grill chrome (Also DIY)...

Bild

Then added the silver trim on the steering...

Bild

Got my sunglass holder from VW... Thanks EX-DOCTOR for the part number...

Bild

Got some new Fogs...

Bild

Added the rear Polo GTI apron...

Bild

And just a couple of pics i took over the weekend...

Bild

Time for some updates...

Picked up a set of Polo Gti Seats this weekend. Front and rear.

Had to convert them for the two door set up. Had to switch frames from my original seats which meant taking the seats apart (Fabric and sponges) and swopping them over. Took me about 5 hours to do as i didnt know how to do it but came right in the end.

One thing i must say... Best money i have spent so far. Seats are super comfy...

Here's some pics...

So i finally managed to install my OEM cruise control. Got the kit from Kufatec in the USA. Cost was R1200 for the kit including shipping and then another R370 for customs.

So all in all R1570. Much, much cheaper than VW.

Had to remove the dashboard to get to the plug on the firewall. Got it coded this morning and it works like a bomb!!!

Pics...

Thanks for the comments guys.

Pics of the centre console that Ruan did for me as well as the top dash cubby and Airvents...

I had it done in a Matte carbon. Still thinking if i should change it to gloss or not? What you guys think?

Hey Shaheenem,

I really like your Polo, you did a good job so far..

The colour, the rims, the seats... everything fits very well! I've got a question, i see you have had the "Trendline"-seat covers before you added the GTI-seats..Have you also exchanged the cover of your rear bench seat? If you did so, how? and if not: Does the "cover mixture" make it all still look ok?

Sorry for my english :D regards from germany

Not really, this place is the right one to say 'hello' in general. For further details on your car, you can use the 'Mein Polo' (My Polo) section - I'll transfer your thread there, don't worry and keep us informed about the further plans for your polo ;)

Maybe it is better to open a new thread in the "Mein Polo" (--> My Polo) section in the forum. This is the place where we normally introduce our customisations :top:
You can also use our picupload and link you photos in the post: http://www.polo9n.info/picupload.html This will be faster than linking external hosts.

I love your ideas! I like the GTI Seats and the black headlights most :D :sabber:
How did you open them? Did you put them into the oven to heat up the glue?

Thanks guys

I used a heat gun and opened the lense a little at a time. Took me 3 hours on each headlight.

Will be sure to post updates as soon as they are done.

Will be doing STO software phase 1 map this weekend. Will post the power figures and dyno print out.

Re: Polo 1.9TDi Sportline, 6 speed, PD130 STO-Tuning REMAP DONE!

Ungelesener Beitragvon majesty78 » 6. Jun 2010, 09:46

If you still have stock clutch and dual mass flywheel, then the measuring of dyno cant be correct in terms of torque.

The stock DMF and clutch are limited at about 380-390Nm of torque, if you would have REAL 440nm, your clutch would be slipping IMMEDIATLY and you DMF would shudder bad in lower rpm range when giving WOT...

Thanks Alex for the information. I dont know how there dyno is set up but this is the figure that was quoted to me. Clutch was replaced 2 months ago with sachs kit including flywheel. There is a little shudder at low revs and a little clutch slip when driving at wot for long periods.

Figures on the wheel were 142.5hp & 365nm. Figures above are flywheel according to there dyno.

Just a lovely Polo you've got there.
I love the front, and the rims are really yummy ("yummy" won't make any sense to you, but it's the direct translation of a common word, we like to use to describe things at a car ;) ).

Now just drop it a bit (as you said) and it's gonna be a perfect ride. :top:
